Christmas Week & Nutrition.

IT’S CHRISTMAS WEEK!

Every single one of us is in a different place in our journeys with the goals we are chasing to be our best selves in different areas of life, in our health, in our wellness, in our physical endeavors, and our nutrition game. Some goals require unwavering discipline, some require you to learn how to add more ease and flow into your everyday life.

There are always so many things I want to speak to when it comes to the holidays, but I think the message I’m craving to share boils down to this:

Give yourself a break. ❤️

Maybe this week isn’t about following your nutrition plan to the T. Maybe it isn’t about tracking every detail. Maybe it isn’t about restriction or shame or fear or discipline. To be honest, it should never be about these things anyway, but mentally, and sometimes due to marketing & different communities we are part of - it has become these things. I am on a mission to teach you that improving your life/health/nutrition doesn’t have to be about that kind of energy, but that’s beyond today’s point:

MAYBE, just maybe, Christmas week can be about letting yourself rest. Letting yourself feel every moment. Be fully present with the people you are with, the connection time you’re lucky to have with special people we probably don’t get to spend enough time with.

Let’s not make it about weight loss, fat loss, or shame for indulging a little more than normal. In fact, when you take the pressure off and give yourself PERMISSION to just BE, you can breathe easier and be less likely to engage in all or nothing behavior when it comes to holiday treats & meals. You’re ALLOWED to LIVE your life and make joyful memories. I encourage you to make this week about connection & presence, instead of strict rules. Remember that we are playing a lifelong game that isn’t going to break with one week of full presence & enjoyment making memories, no matter what or how you eat. Enjoy yourself, take the pressure off, and let yourself have a break! You’ll come back ready to take on personal goals next week.
